Sport Media Professionals Inspire Communications Students Students interested in a career in sport media got the chance to pick the brains of professionals in the field at the Park School of Communication's Sport Media Day Friday, April 13. Alumni throughout the industry were invited to IC to participate in an interactive panel discussion, classroom workshops, resume critiques, and more.

IC Choir Hits the RoadIthaca College’s Choir, the premiere choral ensemble made up of 48 singers-soprano, alto, tenor and bass- is also a band of traveling musicians. Or so they were during their 2012 spring break.

Helping HandsOn a crisp fall morning, I climb out of my car and make my way to the trunk, where I carefully select a bagful of toys. Into a large canvas tote I throw Play-Doh, shape sorters, textured balls, crayons, colorful blocks, and Magna Doodles. I need some larger equipment, too: a tunnel, a peanut s-shaped exercise ball, and a dizzy disc. Once my selection is complete. I work my way to the front door of my first family's house.

A Company Built On Lasting FriendshipMike Potter ’07 had one main goal when he graduated from Ithaca College: start his own company by age 25. He has done that and so much more. Potter came into IC as a Park Scholar majoring in television-radio, but he graduated with majors in television-radio, computer information systems, and business administration. “I felt it was so unique—my ability to take a class in park, my next class in the computer science department, and my following class in the business school,” he says.
