Written by Fuse Staff

Blaine Woszczak '11 wrestles Joshua Lear of SUNY Morrisville at the Empire Collegiate Wrestling Conference Championships.

After winning the Empire College Wrestling Conference championships, eight Bombers got invitations to the NCAA Division III championships in La Crosse, Wisconsin, more than any school but one. With five wrestlers nationally ranked at the end of the regular season—Derek Brenon ’13 at 157 (#1), Blaine Woszczak ’11 (who surpassed the 1987 IC record of 129 career wins in February) at 149 (#2), Jeremy Stierly ’11 at 141 (#2), Seth Ecker ’12 at 133 (#3), and David Priest ’12 at 174 (#9), the Bombers have a good shot at the title.
