Here at Fuse, we address some of the pressing questions that incoming students might have about college life in our Real Deal section. But students aren’t the only ones nervous about the big leap into higher education. Parents, it’s time to put your worries aside as we answer some of your burning questions and put your college-fraught minds at ease!

Follow the links below for answers to these parent questions:

Q: What if my child winds up with a horrendous roommate?

Q: My child is shy. How easy will it be to make friends?

Q: I hear that Ithaca is pretty cold. Are winters as bad as they sound?

Q: What’s there to do in Ithaca?

Q: What if my child gets homesick? Should we visit him in Ithaca?

Q: Sometimes it’s a chore getting my child out of bed in the morning! How will he ever function on his own?

Q: My child has no idea what to major in. Help!

Q: My child is a picky eater. What dining options are available to satisfy his/her tastes?

Q: Will my child be safe on campus?
