From dorm life to fashion, from dining to gardening, the online magazine Shoestring focuses on living the good life for less and in a greener way. The magazine recently featured two Ithaca alumnae, Khrista Trerotola '07 and Giulia Rozzi '00.

One weekend every fall, the good folk at the Downtown Ithaca Alliance host the Apple Harvest Festival, or Applefest, turning the Commons into a bustling street fair, complete with craft and food vendors, stage performances, and some more traditional festival touches (most notably, a Ferris wheel and fun slide for kids).


Diners at each of the campus dining halls may have been shocked to see flames flickering toward the ceilings during dinner one evening recently. Don't worry, though. The fire was contained!
