Ithaca College is somewhat secluded, overlooking the rest of the city from atop South Hill. Luckily, The Commons is close by and provides tons of nightlife options, but don’t stop there — visit that other hill near Cornell University, “Collegetown." Here’s a list of Collegetown's top hot nightlife spots.


This week, Ithaca took home a top honor in the American Institute for Economic Research 2010-2011 College Destination Index when it was named the nation's best college town.


The slogan “Ithaca Is Gorges” isn’t plastered on bumper stickers and T-shirts for nothing. With well over 100 gorges and waterfalls and four state parks within 10 miles of downtown, Ithaca makes it easy to get your nature fix.



Ithaca residents joke about it, but there is some truth to this summer celebration marking the departure of students and the start of summer for the real Ithacans. This year marked the 33rd Ithaca festival and the sounds, sights, tastes and smells were as fantastic as ever.
