Colm Tóibín, renowned author of this year's first year reading initiative, Brooklyn, visited campus to discuss his inspiration for the novel. 


With summer winding down and the first day of classes about a week away, you're probably beginning to sort through about 18 years of stuff and pack some of it up for your first year of college. Move-in Day is right around the corner, and it's natural to have a few questions about the dorms or what to bring. What size are the beds? What kind of mini-fridge can I bring? Is it really that cold? As incoming freshman moving into a college dorm for the first time, we had those same questions too — which is why we're here to help. Check out these five tips for Move-in Day.
