Physics professor Matt Sullivan appeared last spring on the Travel Channel to discuss how superconductivity could eventually be used to build levitating roller coasters.


With help from physics professors Matthew Price and Bruce Thompson, students Chris Stathis ’11 and Ivan Tso ’15 constructed the electronics for a new radio telescope, which now sits near the Clinton B. Ford Observatory on campus.


When I tell friends about my archaeological expeditions to Cyprus, they picture the adventures of Indiana Jones. But mostly what Indy and I have in common are that we get to travel to exotic locales and wear wide-brimmed hats—it’s hot working out in that sun!
