Business Idea Competition

How many college students develop their own business idea into a full-fledged company and then sell it?



Heavy bass reverberated off of the walls of Emerson Suites. Seniors dressed in neon colors danced to the beats mixed by an Ithaca College student, who was DJing. 


PT student's idea takes off with the help of the School of Business and the Business Idea Competition.


CrossFit promotes the use of a continually changing array of aerobic and weight lifting exercises to improve muscular strength, cardiorespiratory endurance, and flexibility. Both Eamon Coyne ’12, M.S. ’14, and Tim Paulson ’12, M.B.A. ’13, licensed owners of CrossFit Pallas in Ithaca, embody the CrossFit attitude in mind, body, and spirit.


Students came together last November to share their new product ideas at Ithaca’s second annual Business Idea Competition. Four of 12 teams took top prizes. The members of each winning team received $5,000 for their business ideas or products.
