The slogan “Ithaca Is Gorges” isn’t plastered on bumper stickers and T-shirts for nothing. With well over 100 gorges and waterfalls and four state parks within 10 miles of downtown, Ithaca makes it easy to get your nature fix.

Ithaca residents joke about it, but there is some truth to this summer celebration marking the departure of students and the start of summer for the real Ithacans. This year marked the 33^rd Ithaca festival and the sounds, sights, tastes and smells were as fantastic as ever.
