    Ithaca College’s environmental studies program has been growing steadily since its inception. The addition of new majors and opportunities has given students the chance to explore their own ideas and learn from the experiences of others in the field. One of the most exciting of these is IC’s partnership with EcoVillage at Ithaca (EVI), a sustainable living community located just minutes from the College.

    Last December Ithaca College students accompanied faculty to the annual United Nations Forum Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) in Pozan, Poland. The students went as part of the College’s International Environmental Policy course.     This fall, HSBC Bank’s philanthropic division, HSBC in the Community (USA) Inc. Foundation awarded Ithaca College a $500,000 grant that will support the development of a new sustainability major and minor at the College.
