I’m Melissa Dellacato, a senior integrated marketing communications major at Ithaca College. I grew up in Oak Ridge, New Jersey, and earned my associate degree in communication before transferring to IC in fall 2014.
This past summer I interned at McGraw-Hill Education, a textbook publishing company, where I formatted digital games and compiled data for content management systems. Additionally, as an artist discovery intern for A.V.A. Live Radio, an online radio station for independent artists, I used social networks such as ReverbNation to recruit artists to be featured on the station.
As a leadership scholar, I love getting involved on campus. I currently serve as proofreader of the Ithacan and vice president of Tau Sigma, the transfer honor society. I’m also a media outreach intern for Project Look Sharp, an on-campus nonprofit organization that promotes media literacy education. These are all great opportunities to build leadership skills and meet new people!
