My friend's call me Kat. I'm a writing major, business minor and I grew up in New York City. After college, I plan to work at a publishing company in New York or London and eventually write fiction novels. I have recently finished my first novel and am in the process of editing it and getting it ready to send to a publisher. Wish me luck!
On the weekends, I love going to the Farmer's Market to eat breakfast burritos (my absolute favorite) and going to the movies at the mall. During the week, I go to the Handwerker Gallery beneath the library to listen to writing professors on campus and my fellow students read their works. During nice weather, I take a drive to the lake or hike through the woods. Behind the terrace dorms are trails that I run during the Spring and Fall when I don't feel like going to the gym.
My favorite thing about Ithaca is going to sound strange, but I love the weather. Let me amend that. I love Ithaca in the fall. Ithaca is absolutely beautiful swathed in red, orange, and yellow leaves.

The first time I entered my dorm room freshman year, I couldn’t believe how sparse it looked: the room I’d be living in for a year wasn’t anything like my room at home. I knew I had to jazz it up—I just didn’t know where to begin. We asked the editors of Fuse and current students to share their favorite hints, tips, and must-have gear to...
