Chelsea Theis ’08

Writer/Editor

Hey there! I'm a senior journalism major, marketing minor from small-town New York. Besides writing for Fuse, I am a staff writer for The Ithacan and Buzzsaw Haircut. I'm a DJ for VIC radio, a Study Abroad Ambassador and a manager at the Ithaca Fund's Phonathon Program. I'm really into music and not cleaning my room.

My favorite thing about Ithaca is that I'm constantly meeting new people! I'm in my fourth year and I'm still making friends!

It all started four years ago, when I was still in high school. Just like any senior heading to college, I was applying for any...

"I wanna make this very clear," Byron Hurt says in his documentary, Hip Hop: Beyond Beats and Rhymes, "I love hip hop." But just because Hurt loves hip hop, doesn't mean he can't question it. And that's just what he does.

Hip Hop: Beyond Beats and Rhymes examines issues of masculinity, sexual aggression, and ...
