Physics professor Matt Sullivan appeared last spring on the Travel Channel to discuss how superconductivity could eventually be used to build levitating roller coasters.
Using research he collected with IC students on the properties of supercool metal compounds, he made the case for a cheaper and simpler alternative to magnetic levitation that could one day be used in theme parks across the globe.
