One Team, United: IC's New Athletic Identity

United. That’s how IC athletes feel with the college’s new athletics identity.

Ithaca’s Office of Intercollegiate Athletics and Recreational Sports unveiled a new, cohesive identity across the many sports played on campus this past fall. Student-athletes received new uniforms with the sharp, angular new logo, which asserts the strength of the players and the unity of their teams.

Current and alumni student-athletes, coaches, and staff worked together with the college's Office of Marketing Communications to bring the new vision to life. Jason DeLand ’98, former IC baseball player and cofounder of the award-winning agency Anomaly (known for its Budweiser Super Bowl commercials), volunteered as a strategic advisor for the project. For many student-athletes, the sports they play are central to their college experience, and the new athletics identity brings them together as a family.
