    Dr. Zabusky

Following a national search, Dr. Stacia Zabusky has been appointed assistant dean in the School of Humanities and Sciences at Ithaca College.

Humanities & Sciences dean Howard Erlich remarked, “I’m delighted that Dr. Zabusky has accepted this appointment, for which she is well-qualified. I thank the many members of the college community who contributed to the selection. We have chosen very well.”

Dr. Zabusky has taught part and full-time in the Department of Anthropology at Ithaca College since 1995. In 2001, she became an assistant professor. In July 2006, she was appointed interim assistant dean of the School of Humanities and Sciences.  Dr. Zabusky earned her Ph.D. in anthropology from Cornell University in 1992. She has explored research and teaching in Japan; in 2004 she made a six-week research trip to Tokyo and Kyoto, and developed a course on Japanese Society and Culture that she taught for two semesters at IC.
