It's summer and the music is hot!
Ithaca's Ford Hall has seen dozens of reputable performers this summer, including the fascinating, international New Zealand String Quartet.
As part of the 35th annual Ithaca College Suzuki Institute, the New Zealand String Quartet graced the stage at Ford Hall, performing two quartets by Haydn to commemorate the 200th anniversary of his death.
They also performed Janacek’s String Quartet No 1 and a new piece by the New Zealand composer Ross Harris.

Returning to Ithaca for the Suzuki Institute is especially meaningful for first violinist Helene Pohl, a native Ithacan and graduate of the Ithaca Talent Education Violin School.
Other members include Douglas Beilman, second violin; Gillian Ansell, viola; and Rolf Gjelsten, cello.
