    Q: Do I have to take placement exams?

    Placement exams are required at Ithaca College.

    A: All incoming students are required to take a math placement exam in order to be placed in suitable math or computer science courses.

    If you’ve studied foreign languages, it’s a good idea to take a language placement test, even if you’re not sure whether you want to take a language in college.

    Music majors are also required to take special placement exams.
