The competition was intense. But on Sunday, February 10th, a new Mr. Ithaca was crowned king of the College.

Every year, guys from the senior class are either nominated or apply to compete to become Mr. Ithaca. This year, nine seniors competed for the title: James Aucoin, Anthony Bisalti, Chris Burt,  Leland Collins III, Mark Hejduk, Matt Karp, Rick McGrath, Brian Saa, and Nick Valvo. The competition kicked off with the contestants showing off their best dance moves to "Calculus" by Otown and "Crank that Soulja Boy" by Soulja Boy. Then, after the judges were introduced to the audience and offered the contestants words of wisdom, everyone's favorite event of the night took place: the swimsuit competition. Anthony Bisalti came out fully dressed in a flippers, a snorkel, an inner tube, and water wings, while Leland Collins enticed the crowd by strutting down the cat walk in a bright pink, one piece, ladies swimsuit.

The talent competition followed.  The contestants got to show off their skills, which ranged from cooking, to story telling, to juggling, to singing, and playing instruments. During a 10 minute intermission where the votes were collected to decide on the top three contestants, IC Circus performed. The top three contestants (Matt Karp, Rick McGrath, and Nick Valvo) were then each asked questions for the interview portion of the evening. Finally the judges decided from those answers who would get the illustrious title. The title went to Matt Karp.

Congratulations, Mr. Ithaca.
