    The Ithaca College Experience

Q: Does Ithaca allow non-music majors to participate in their music program?

A: Yes, non-majors can take part in the music program. If you don’t want to minor in music, classes are available for you, as are lessons and ensembles, if you play an instrument. You can always look in the college catalog for music classes that non-majors are able to take.

If you don't own your own instrument, you can rent one from Hickey’s Music Center in Ithaca. Hickey's has a yearly rental plan with a variety of instruments. In addition, they have a large selection of sheet music and they do instrument repairs.
